"It doesn't matter how many say it
cannot be done or how many people have tried it before; it's important to
realize that whatever you're doing, it's your first attempt at it."
Wally Amos
Have you ever wanted something so badly, but it fell apart after you did
everything in your power to make it happen?
Then the ‘Goal Trauma’ is blocking
your path to success!
With trauma, you become much more conservative about thinking big and
you avoid getting your hopes up when setting new goals.
Instead of approaching them with a fresh and willing attitude, you feel
stressed and anxious and are less resilient when challenges occur.
Here is something to do right now to get free from Goal Trauma…
Think about and old event and ask yourself, “If I could live through
that, can I handle just about anything this new goal throws my way?”
The truth is, you’ve already come through this event and received gifts
from it that you use all the time. How can they help, from this point on, with
your new goals? Let this goal trauma story transform into your hero story.
Sometimes challenges are put in your path to strengthen and prepare you
for what’s coming next; you need to learn some lessons before you’re ready to
take on your true goals and be the hero of your mission!
For every single ‘goal’ that didn’t work out as planned, there is a
powerful and positive message you can take from it.
Ask “When I look at this again now, what are all of the positive reasons
(that I couldn’t see then) that this happened?”
NOW, this requires you to be willing to see the positive reasons – only
when you are willing to do this, brilliant things are revealed and your entire
negative energy around that situation shifts and raises and empowers you.
